Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Afanasiy Shefner sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Colombia were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniil Fomin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anton Kirilchenko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Arsenal F.C.'s 龙景震 was substituted for Artem Savin. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Afanasiy Shefner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Arsenal F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Semen Afonchenko in the 80th minute. Mikhail Shafranov kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Daniil Fomin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Mikhail Shafranov hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Colombia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Colombia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
