Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Ríver Late's Claudio Echeverri got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Geovani de Salles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 7th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Ríver Late's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Ecuador's Cristian Sancho getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Echeverri's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. After 15 played minutes Ríver Late got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Vargas. 17 minutes into the match, Ríver Late's Claudio Echeverri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute Claudio Echeverri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Echeverri's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Claudio Echeverri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Claudio Echeverri struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ríver Late. 38 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Echeverri came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rick Haremeijer kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The wind increased when Claudio Echeverri made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Ríver Late got a freekick which was hit by Rick Haremeijer. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Ríver Late's Dolfo Clemente got a free kick in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovani de Salles. Ríver Late's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ríver Late's Emiliano Gai was substituted for Rick Haremeijer. Ríver Late's Carl Skytt was substituted for Silvério Vargas. A throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game was made by Primitivo Andino with Felix Montenegro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The corner ended in João Francisco Silveira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Geovani de Salles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovani de Salles was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Echeverri in the 79th minute of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Echeverri's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ríver Late's Dimas Barrientos was substituted for Claudio Echeverri. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. João Francisco Silveira was slow to take the kick. During this time Ríver Late's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that João Francisco Silveira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
