The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulo Eguen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rolando Noboa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MORPH's Melquiades Mambru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, MORPH's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Melquiades Mambru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Eguen in the 15th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Mambru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes MORPH's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Milagros Fraga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Melquiades Mambru quite easily take care of the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Peru's Milagros Fraga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Mambru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of play forced MORPH's goalkeeper Melquiades Mambru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Mambru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Melquiades Mambru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 40 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Eguen. 42 minutes into the match, Eliseo Mina notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of MORPH's Melquiades Mambru. Melquiades Mambru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Anastasio Lluques made in the 64th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ambrosio Estevez immediately put the ball in play. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Melquiades Mambru made a huge save. 68 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Lano came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carel Rokeloos in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the match, MORPH's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Melquiades Mambru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Melquiades Mambru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. After having played for 92 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
