Braulio Quilino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 2nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 4th minute of play forced Colonia Taranco FC's goalkeeper Braulio Quilino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Colonia Taranco FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Leoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Berni Romeo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Berni Romeo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Colonia Taranco FC's Fernando Pacheco quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leonardo Leoz, made in the 14th minute of the game. In the 17th minute, Colonia Taranco FC's Berni Romeo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Colonia Taranco FC's Braulio Quilino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 20th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Braulio Quilino. Braulio Quilino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berni Romeo in the 27th minute of play. Luca Zorita scored 2-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Braulio Quilino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Colonia Taranco FC's Berni Romeo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 3-2 after 32 minutes of play. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Braulio Quilino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 余迪光 hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Berni Romeo might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Berni Romeo ran back to his position shaking his head. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 48th minute. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Braulio Quilino despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berni Romeo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Colonia Taranco FC's Leonel Paul was substituted for Erivaldo Urbano. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Braulio Quilino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Leroy Sane came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leroy Sane's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leroy Sane in the 81st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Leroy Sane ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. After 83 played minutes Colonia Taranco FC got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Elorri. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leroy Sane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 played minutes Colonia Taranco FC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Pistauer. 90 minutes into the match, Colonia Taranco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Braulio Quilino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mexico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
