João Francisco Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Peru's Luz Tejedor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Francisco Tinoco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Harold Tronconi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. In the 12th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Grêmio RK75's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. João Francisco Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harold Tronconi in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 33rd minute of play forced Grêmio RK75's goalkeeper João Francisco Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio RK75's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Francisco Tinoco came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Alvarado to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Veríssimo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Kaká Brasil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio RK75's goalkeeper João Francisco Tinoco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harold Tronconi in the 59th minute of the match. After 64 minutes, Cauã Luz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio RK75 and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th match minute, Grêmio RK75 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauã Luz to maneuver through the defense. Luz Tejedor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. João Francisco Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Emmanuel Reyes could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which João Francisco Tinoco however easily saved by the left post. In the 79th minute, Julian Murillo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of João Francisco Tinoco, passed just outside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harold Tronconi in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. After 86 played minutes Grêmio RK75 got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Saraiva. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. In the 87th match minute, Grêmio RK75 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandinho Saraiva to maneuver through the defense.
