Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 15th minute. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Wictor Hagström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niclas Hjälm in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes in the game, Tomas Illescas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Wictor Hagström having to interfere. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Wictor Hagström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 36th match minute, FC Kurdish Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvin Johnsson to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Niclas Hjälm came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niclas Hjälm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Sven-Arne Gustafsson made the kick off in the second half. Sven-Arne Gustafsson in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. FC Kurdish Warriors's Niclas Hjälm got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Sven-Arne Gustafsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Kurdish Warriors were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anthon Svanér took the corner. Sven-Arne Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 78th minute Joshua Secada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wictor Hagström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Kurdish Warriors players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Venezuela.
