When Arturo Carvallo fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Arturo Carvallo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mercado Paulista F.C booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kent Lindberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kent Lindberg went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Kent Lindberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Mercado Paulista F.C's Kent Lindberg got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 25 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Carvallo. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franco Sampler was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kent Lindberg in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Kent Lindberg came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Mercado Paulista F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kent Lindberg couldn't finish the play. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Mercado Paulista F.C's attentive Frans Larsfelt managed to snatch the ball when Arturo Carvallo made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. 4-0 became the score in the 38th minute when Kent Lindberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Lindberg in the 44th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Mercado Paulista F.C's Kent Lindberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Francisco Seco made the kick off in the second half. Arturo Carvallo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Franco Sampler made a huge save. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian de Lima in the 64th minute of the match. If Cristian de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franco Sampler was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Maximiliano Escribano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maximiliano Escribano really showed his touch with that goal: 5-1. Mercado Paulista F.C's Franco Sampler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Cristian de Lima made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Cristian de Lima took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian de Lima in the 83rd minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Mercado Paulista F.C fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Mercado Paulista F.C's Cristian de Lima looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Mercado Paulista F.C getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Su Jing Cheng hit a great ball. Mercado Paulista F.C's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
