Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A sloppy throw-in by Carlo Valdivieso in the 5th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Capo de Provincia's Héctor Barra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 6th minute of play. In the 10th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Héctor Barra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Capo de Provincia's Héctor Barra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milagros Fraga in the 10th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Capo de Provincia's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Héctor Barra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper Héctor Barra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 43rd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Héctor Barra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, David Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Villa in the 54th minute of play. The throw-in from Carlo Valdivieso in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Capo de Provincia made a substitution. Christiano Cabañas replaced Luis Jiménez. In the 65th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Capo de Provincia's goalie and right to Eliseo Mina. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Capo de Provincia's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Héctor Barra made a huge save. Héctor Barra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Capo de Provincia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Emmanuel Reyes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Capo de Provincia's Héctor Barra did a great save. Capo de Provincia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper Héctor Barra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 89 minutes into the game, Tao Han was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capo de Provincia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. After 89 played minutes Capo de Provincia got a freekick which was hit by Tao Han. A collision led to Capo de Provincia getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Fazil App hit a great ball. Tao Han kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. 97 minutes in the game Eliseo Mina after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Héctor Barra. A very good opportunity. Peru were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
