The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Cassius Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ludomil Ziomkowski was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Afonso da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein in the 83rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Baker got free with Ludomil Ziomkowski in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhou Wei Fan in the 90th minute of the match. After 91 minutes, Xande Campbell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ and the USA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Xande Campbell hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Ludomil Ziomkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Campbell in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Sam Campbell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. USA's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
