In the 9th minute Pascual Carballar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Kevin Mastache almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but 11ABRASIL's Dino Zoff did a great save. Pedro Manzanares stood somewhat misplaced when German Birila came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 15 minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herbert Pluciennik got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dino Zoff. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 22nd minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute Herbert Pluciennik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Montenegro in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dino Zoff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 29 minutes into the game, Colombia's Axel Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dino Zoff made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Abram Sarmiento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dino Zoff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Thomas Katsivalis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11ABRASIL's Dino Zoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 37th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thomas Katsivalis got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11ABRASIL's Nicu Vornic shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 44th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Pedro Manzanares but with some difficulty. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Joshua Garrido managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Joshua Garrido was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dino Zoff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th match minute, 11ABRASIL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicu Vornic to maneuver through the defense.

53 minutes into the game, one of Colombia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for 11ABRASIL. Thomas Katsivalis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pedro Manzanares. 2-1. Colombia's Kevin Mastache quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nicu Vornic, made in the 60th minute of the game. Abram Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dino Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, 11ABRASIL's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Dino Zoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Santino Seco hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Dino Zoff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Hellgren in the 74th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
