They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Blaise Castera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 84th minute of play forced R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Auguste Lorre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Isidoro Sarmiento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Auguste Lorre, 0-10. Auguste Lorre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Cambeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. A sloppy throw-in by Matthew Garrido in the 93rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by R.C. Panama's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
