When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rick Grimes was slow to take the kick. During this time Seferihisar İdman Gücü's players had a chance to rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bedrettin Münir didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Bedrettin Münir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 54th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Seferihisar İdman Gücü's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Bedrettin Münir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bedrettin Münir narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 67 played minutes Seferihisar İdman Gücü got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Gonzalez Pirez. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bedrettin Münir having to interfere. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Luke Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
