Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bolo Bolaño kicked off to start the match. Hugo Orlando Gatti came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Luis Andino. But to his dismay, Luis Andino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bolo Bolaño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Consejo del Mate's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Consejo del Mate's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aquiles Cordero in the 33rd minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fagildo Pamanes in the 41st minute of play. Consejo del Mate's Fagildo Pamanes got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Hugo Orlando Gatti however easily saved by the left post. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bolo Bolaño in the 59th minute of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peyo Fonelleda's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 66thth minute of the game Peyo Fonelleda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute Bolo Bolaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bolo Bolaño spun around in front of the goal 71 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Ecuador's goal. After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Santo Lorenz got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Hugo Orlando Gatti made a huge save. In the 76thth minute of the game Bolo Bolaño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 90th minute, Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti didn't even have to move. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Orlando Gatti having to interfere. Ecuador played a much better game than Consejo del Mate and deserved their victory. The Consejo del Mate players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
