Maximiliano Teofilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Orlando Fanuco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Camilo Gisbert made in the 21st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luis Andino immediately put the ball in play. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Orlando Fanuco made a huge save. 24 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Teofilio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Guido Eufrasio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Gabrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Teofilio came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Rodrigues's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Fanuco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maximiliano Teofilio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Teofilio came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Teofilio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 63rdth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bonpland United's Orlando Fanuco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Camilo Gisbert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bonpland United the free kick. The supporters of Bonpland United booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Maximiliano Teofilio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Bonpland United's Maximiliano Teofilio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Maximiliano Teofilio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Orlando Fanuco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 82nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Maximiliano Teofilio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bonpland United's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximiliano Teofilio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Bonpland United's Marcial Sengrat got a free kick in the 86th minute. Orlando Fanuco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball.
