Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Willem-Jan Hollanders didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim Vranken in the 4th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tim Vranken in the 6th minute. Mexico's Felix Luque managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tim Vranken in the 9 minute of the game. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willem-Jan Hollanders having to interfere. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Willem-Jan Hollanders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 18th minute of the match. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Les Bistouquettes Bleues's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Willem-Jan Hollanders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 21st minute of play. 1-0 became the score in the 24th minute when Thananiti Cheewawipat elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 27th minute of play forced Les Bistouquettes Bleues's goalkeeper Willem-Jan Hollanders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willem-Jan Hollanders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thananiti Cheewawipat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thananiti Cheewawipat. Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Willem-Jan Hollanders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willem-Jan Hollanders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Les Bistouquettes Bleues's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Alberto Tafalla scored to the left of an out of position Willem-Jan Hollanders, making the score, 1-1. With a little luck, Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Willem-Jan Hollanders got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Facundo Cadaval's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willem-Jan Hollanders was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 77th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Zorita to maneuver through the defense. After 78 played minutes, Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Georges Grün shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dante Lacasa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Les Bistouquettes Bleues reached it. Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Willem-Jan Hollanders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 79th minute of play. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Willem-Jan Hollanders. Willem-Jan Hollanders dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryan Creemers in the 84th minute of play. Giovanni Inglebert's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giovanni Inglebert helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Les Bistouquettes Bleues getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Giovanni Inglebert hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes Les Bistouquettes Bleues got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Inglebert. In the 95th minute, Giovanni Inglebert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Les Bistouquettes Bleues throughout the match.
