Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kuuno Mari came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play forced Maximum Power's goalkeeper Tiit Jaas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiit Jaas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiit Jaas. After recieving a nice pass, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Kaido Narusson could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiit Jaas having to interfere. The supporters of Maximum Power booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximum Power's Tiit Jaas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 32nd minute of play. In the 37th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Maximum Power's Tiit Jaas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of play. Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert suffered a fractured collar bone after 41 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Kaido Narusson fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maximum Power's protests and gave Kaido Narusson a yellow card for diving instead. Kaido Narusson hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Tiit Jaas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kuuno Mari in the 60th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a little luck, Maximum Power's Tiit Jaas got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 67th minute. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Tiit Jaas made a huge save. In the 73rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiit Jaas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximum Power's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ediberto Queiroz in the 83rd minute. Agustín Saelices came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tiit Jaas could save by the left post. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tiit Jaas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Tiit Jaas made a huge save. Maximum Power succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
