In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper Luiz Corrêa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luiz Corrêa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 31st minute of play forced ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper Luiz Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 38 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. A collision led to ROSÁRIO SPORT getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Dean Harvey hit a great ball. Luz Tejedor shot from long distance in the 54th minute, but Luiz Corrêa was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 58 minutes into the match, Peru's Luz Tejedor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Corrêa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Corrêa saved ROSÁRIO SPORT from getting behind. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandros Krieser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save ROSÁRIO SPORT from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Luiz Corrêa. ROSÁRIO SPORT's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. ROSÁRIO SPORT made a substitution. Tony Dionísio replaced Douglas Basso. ROSÁRIO SPORT made a substitution. Bruno Félix replaced Sigvard Rosendal. A sloppy throw-in by Ture Möllgren in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Mina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peru's Anthony Alvarado quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Nildo da Silveira hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Luiz Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 97th minute of the match. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
