Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th match minute, HIT Gorica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jernej Petrovič to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to HIT Gorica getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Antoni Zdrojewski hit a great ball. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind HIT Gorica's goalkeeper Konstantin Pančur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duško Turnšek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Konstantin Pančur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Konstantin Pančur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to HIT Gorica getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Constantino Eguntsenti hit a great ball. In the 44th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Konstantin Pančur showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Konstantin Pančur in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brite McCready hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. HIT Gorica made a substitution. Istok Šabotić replaced Duško Turnšek. Istok Šabotić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. The tension between the HIT Gorica and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. 65 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Konstantin Pančur, 0-1. HIT Gorica's Quentin Willmott was substituted for Constantino Eguntsenti. 77 minutes into the match, HIT Gorica's goalkeeper Konstantin Pančur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Rastislav Tomič hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, HIT Gorica's Quentin Willmott got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in HIT Gorica's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konstantin Pančur came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antoni Zdrojewski took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.
