Betão Pontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. With splendid footwork Edmundo Espiga arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-1 by the left pole in the game's 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betão Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. GKS Katowice's Betão Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 40th minute of play. Witomir Misiorowski hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Ludomir Zacharek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmundo Espiga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Betão Pontes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Tafalla in the 52nd minute of play forced GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Betão Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GKS Katowice's Betão Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Honduras booed when GKS Katowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucjan Werra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Betão Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GKS Katowice's Betão Pontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GKS Katowice's goalie prevented a goal. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Milagros Cabal. A collision led to GKS Katowice getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Olgierd Sokolski hit a great ball. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in GKS Katowice's zone, Sebastian Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betão Pontes came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Betão Pontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lucjan Werra struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GKS Katowice. Lucjan Werra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Lautaro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lucjan Werra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Honduras fully deserved thier win.
