Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but André Monclús showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 30th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and André Monclús capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. André Monclús really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Elpidio Francis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, André Monclús managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but André Monclús was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the game, Elpidio Francis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
