After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 4th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Alcântara in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cadu Team's Válbson Paiva slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 after 33 minutes of play. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gelu Lepuș. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Válbson Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Hugo Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Válbson Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gelu Lepuș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Válbson Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Paiva in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Cadu Team's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Gelu Lepuș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Hugo Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Paiva in the 81st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81stth minute of the game Válbson Paiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Cadu Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cadu Team made a substitution. Teodoro Lago replaced Renato Barral. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Cadu Team's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Gelu Lepuș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Válbson Paiva struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cadu Team. Many of Venezuela's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Venezuela may have spent more time on the ball, but Cadu Team were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
