In the 2nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Txeru in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Duffensores Springfield were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Americo Erlantz took the corner. Duffensores Springfield's Americo Erlantz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Txeru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salvador Aresti went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cleto Walme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 13th minute. Duffensores Springfield's Cleto Walme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Duffensores Springfield from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd match minute, Duffensores Springfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Guillem to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matias Txeru's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Txeru came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Cleto Walme made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Duffensores Springfield's Salvador Aresti shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Txeru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Duffensores Springfield's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Americo Erlantz in the 40th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Txeru in the 43rd minute of play. Alfonso Sasoin made in the 46th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Makareus Manoukarakis however managed to control. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matias Txeru in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Maciej Haszczak got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-4. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Matias Txeru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Txeru in the 67th minute of the match. Rigoberto Mina's late challenge caught a Duffensores Springfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Mina helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Sasoin in the 72nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Duffensores Springfield's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleto Walme came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Salvador Aresti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Duffensores Springfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Aresti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Txeru in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Walme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Duffensores Springfield played a much better game than Venezuela and deserved their victory. The Venezuela players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
