Vila Zumbi's Antoni Beninda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Vila Zumbi's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Antoni Beninda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maciej Marchlewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Maciej Marchlewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoni Beninda having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Luis Andino had several of the Vila Zumbi's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 89 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Antoni Beninda as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Antoni Beninda in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
