In the 11th match minute, CA Twister Rodríguez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Galsino to maneuver through the defense. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. 19 minutes in the game, Gonzalo Ramond fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, CA Twister Rodríguez's Laureano Tabor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Herminio Camerino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute of play forced CA Twister Rodríguez's goalkeeper Herminio Camerino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Angelo Artaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Angelo Artaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to CA Twister Rodríguez getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jacobo Galsino hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Gonzalo Ramond made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzalo Ramond's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Camilo Gaos made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that CA Twister Rodríguez's Herminio Camerino managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Ramond in the 62nd minute of the match. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Herminio Camerino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Camerino having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, CA Twister Rodríguez's goalkeeper Herminio Camerino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 秦青斌, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laureano Tabor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 93rd minute. CA Twister Rodríguez were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
