The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Everardo Milian during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 39 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Gagriel was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseo Mina might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Gagriel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Mina ran back to his position shaking his head. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's goalie prevented a goal. Eliseo Mina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Gagriel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 65th minute of play forced Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's goalkeeper Marcelo Gagriel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Gagriel came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Luz Tejedor. But to his dismay, Luz Tejedor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Cordarrol in the 79th minute of play. The long shot by Luz Tejedor in the 82nd minute really tested Marcelo Gagriel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 86 played minutes Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Heriberto. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. The supporters of Peru booed when Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Heriberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Mina was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 92 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guaberto Inautzi who took care of the corner kick. Guaberto Inautzi made a great header on Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's corner, it was just that Peru's Rolando Noboa managed to reach the ball for a save. Rafael Gallo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcelo Gagriel came out and tried to block the shot, but Rafael Gallo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 94th minute. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ.
