Cleto Walme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute. Honorato Pirmin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cleto Walme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Txeru in the 21st minute of play. Duffensores Springfield's Cleto Walme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Duffensores Springfield from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleto Walme having to interfere. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Duffensores Springfield's goalkeeper Cleto Walme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Duffensores Springfield's Salvador Aresti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Salvador Aresti struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duffensores Springfield.

The wind increased when Matias Txeru made the kick off in the second half. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 52 minutes into the game, Camilo Gisbert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Duffensores Springfield the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Duffensores Springfield:s goal. After 53 minutes Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera managed, with a little bit of luck, save Americo Erlantz's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Txeru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cleto Walme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Duffensores Springfield's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Americo Erlantz in the 63rd minute. Honorato Pirmin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cleto Walme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Duffensores Springfield's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
