The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

If Isidoro Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Isidoro Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Isidoro Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Isidoro Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidoro Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidoro Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lautaro Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isidoro Azevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Valentín Carvallo hit a great ball. Hunting High & Low.. succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Honduras had controlled the match.
