Santos Vigil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Frisia AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Santos Vigil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 minutes, Leon Videl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frisia AFC and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Frisia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Videl to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute Ricardo Endura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Frisia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Videl to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes Frisia AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leon Videl. Santos Vigil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 34th minute of play. Panama's Miguel Miralles got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. Santos Vigil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 52nd minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, Frisia AFC's goalkeeper Santos Vigil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Vigil saved Frisia AFC from getting behind. Abraham Alguacil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Santos Vigil made a huge save. Frisia AFC made a substitution. Abel Txatxu replaced Americo Matia. A collision led to Frisia AFC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Leon Videl hit a great ball. Frisia AFC's Cornelio Etxatxu was substituted for Ramiro Xacintu. After a rather tough play, Frisia AFC's Leon Videl got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Santos Vigil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Vigil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Felipe Ros hit a great ball. When Melchor Esiquio came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Frisia AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Esiquio couldn't finish the play. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Sadurni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Santos Vigil. Santos Vigil yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Frisia AFC's Santos Vigil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Frisia AFC from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Panama had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
