With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magno Aparecido in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Magno Aparecido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Minho FC's Zeferino Diegues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 43rd minute of play. Zeferino Diegues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Magno Aparecido stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Minho FC got a freekick which was hit by Rowan Dobson. Alonso Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Zeferino Diegues made a huge save. In the 62nd minute Magno Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Minho FC's Zeferino Diegues got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rowan Dobson kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Minho FC made a substitution. Salah el Din Khan replaced Ivo Mourato. Minho FC's Hélder Soveral was substituted for Magno Aparecido. Zeferino Diegues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Gallo in the 93rd minute. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
