Cai Zhi Qi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Firdaus Yom came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the game, Dapotan Eagles Fc's Cai Zhi Qi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The Dapotan Eagles Fc players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
