Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Playa Malvín from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the match, Stamen Tekeliev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Heitor Paim Belluci. Brazil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stamen Tekeliev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Stelian Murgu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Brazil fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Brazil's Diogo Paim Macedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stamen Tekeliev made a kick off. Alexandre Paz Rocha might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Roberto Teixeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Paz Rocha ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute, Adriano Macedo Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Paim Macedo in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Roberto Teixeira saved Playa Malvín from getting behind. Diogo Paim Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Zé Roberto Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Playa Malvín's Vladimiro Marquez quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guilherme Flores Bueno, made in the 76th minute of the game. Zé Roberto Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Pedroso Kimura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Pedroso Kimura in the 78th minute of play. Alvise Catapano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Pedroso Kimura in the 82nd minute of play forced Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Quinto Ampudia notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Brazil's Heitor Paim Belluci. Heitor Paim Belluci was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 89 minutes into the game, Playa Malvín's Quinto Ampudia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Heitor Paim Belluci made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Zé Roberto Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Bueno Lobo in the 95th minute of play. The Brazil manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Playa Malvín to win.
