If Aquilino Ponte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vlad Miniș in the 6th minute. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Ponte in the 13th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Aquilino Ponte took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. Ricardinho Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Albert Flintașu in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. If Kevin Mastache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 27 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ali Emir Işıklar. 31 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vlad Miniș. Ricardinho Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 34th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Albert Flintașu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Kevin Mastache quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ali Emir Işıklar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. But to his dismay, Axel Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aquilino Ponte to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Colombia booed when Tornadele Siret was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zygmunt Zurawski didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Slawomir Winszman fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tornadele Siret's protests and gave Slawomir Winszman a yellow card for diving instead. Slawomir Winszman hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Kevin Mastache ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardinho Lopes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. In the 76th minute, Vlad Miniș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Aquilino Ponte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. 82 minutes into the match, Colombia's Abram Secada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardinho Lopes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute of the match Tornadele Siret got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zygmunt Zurawski ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Zygmunt Zurawski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares did a great save. 86 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Ponte came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tornadele Siret's Ricardinho Lopes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Tornadele Siret from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 89th minute of play forced Tornadele Siret's goalkeeper Ricardinho Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardinho Lopes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacio Mastache's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After 91 played minutes Tornadele Siret got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Mutu. 94 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Ponte came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ignacio Mastache's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardinho Lopes was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. The Colombia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Colombia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
