Min Son kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Jurand Cempa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastian Sandberg having to make a save. Miroslaw Gollob showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Rocchi in the 80th minute of the match. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Xv de Piracicaba's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristo Verdu was slow to take the kick. During this time Zacisze Częstochowa's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Damaso Alonso heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Jurand Cempa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zacisze Częstochowa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
