Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Peru's Julian Murillo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Judas Verón's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 18th minute of play forced Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Raggio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Judas Verón got free with Rolando Noboa in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute of the match Belgrano de Pibasog got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eustaquio Fortun ran over to the corner to take the kick. Silvio Abadia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luz Tejedor might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardo Raggio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luz Tejedor ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Silvio Abadia came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Belgrano de Pibasog's corner Eustaquio Fortun fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Noboa quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Belgrano de Pibasog defense, Eliseo Mina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Raggio. The Belgrano de Pibasog fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Raggio should have stopped the shot. Bernardo Raggio made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target. Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Raggio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garcia Morros in the 77th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Raggio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Bernardo Raggio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julian Murillo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 89 minute of play. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garcia Morros in the 94th minute of play. After 95 minutes of play, Peru's Rafael Gallo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardo Raggio was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Belgrano de Pibasog fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
