Vila Industrial FC's Dorian Valladares got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Cibran in the 5th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorian Valladares in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorian Valladares went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Dorian Valladares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match Vila Industrial FC got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roberto Cibran ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Roland Brack put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. The supporters of Vila Industrial FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Cibran was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 25th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 27 minutes of play, Vila Industrial FC's Dorian Valladares made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dorian Valladares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Valladares in the 36th minute of play. Dorian Valladares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Valladares in the 39th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexander Carballo during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benito Sanz had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Roberto Cibran's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 49 minutes into the game, Roberto Cibran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Vila Industrial FC were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roland Brack made a kick off. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorian Valladares in the 55th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Brack. The crowd rose to their feet as Dorian Valladares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 0-7 in the 62 minute of play. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Roland Brack sent off a good shot on target. A throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game was made by Efrain Moruga with Eliseo Noboa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Efrain Moruga made in the 74th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vila Industrial FC's Aleksandr Leonov. In the 78th minute, Benedicto Obano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Obano in the 81st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Aleksandr Leonov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 0-9. Benedicto Obano had several of the Costa Rica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 87 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-10 score and a disappointed Benito Sanz as he didn't even see the shot coming. 90 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedicto Obano. Thanks to some nice moves Roland Brack could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Obano in the 96th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 98th minute, Roland Brack made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-11. Vila Industrial FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
