Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dário Mesquita started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gernando Proença. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Dário Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Danone CC's Isaltino Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Gernando Proença notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Chile's Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice moves Carlos Alberto Sá could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Thiago Pliego however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Danone CC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Geovanni de Alcântara hit a great ball. Isaltino Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 21st minute of the match. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Dário Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gernando Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Orlando Casaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gernando Proença was slow to take the kick. During this time Danone CC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Samuel McQuarrie almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samuel McQuarrie went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Danone CC's Geovanni de Alcântara got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
Danone CC made a substitution. Jeremias Velloso replaced Gernando Proença. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Lacasa to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Isaltino Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremias Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Danone CC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Geovanni de Alcântara hit a great ball. Isaltino Couto came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enéas Carneiro in the 72nd minute of play. With his leg Isaltino Couto managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Chile's Mariano Lacasa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Velloso in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thanks to some nice moves Mariano Lacasa could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Isaltino Couto however easily saved by the left post. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enéas Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Lacasa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Isaltino Couto firmly grabbed it by the left post. Isaltino Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Danone CC's Cauã Toledo was substituted for Albert Vulpe. Chile's Alan Tamayo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Moisés Linhares in the 96 minute of the game. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaltino Couto having to make a save. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaltino Couto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The Danone CC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Chile were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
