Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Pincha FC's Marcial Roldanillo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Quentin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play forced Pincha FC's goalkeeper Carlos Quentin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Quentin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 11th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Quentin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Roldanillo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Pincha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Carlos Quentin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Roldanillo in the 20th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Quentin was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. After 25 played minutes Pincha FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Roldanillo. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Quentin having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Agustin Silvino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Marcial Roldanillo came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Pincha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Roldanillo couldn't finish the play. The Pincha FC fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Pincha FC's Marcial Roldanillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 37thth minute of the game Marcial Roldanillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Marcial Roldanillo got free in front of the goal in the 37th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Julio Vera was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Quentin. Carlos Quentin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. If Victorio Hondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Pincha FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Victorio Hondo hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Luis Andino in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pincha FC's Marcial Roldanillo.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Quentin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Roldanillo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Pincha FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Agustin Silvino hit a great ball. Pincha FC's Carlos Quentin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Pincha FC from getting a goal against them. If Victorio Hondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Roldanillo in the 65th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcial Roldanillo in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 70 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sergio Macerio who took care of the corner kick. 72 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Silvino came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pincha FC made a substitution. Darren McDonald replaced Victorio Hondo. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Pincha FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Agustín Saelices to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlos Quentin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 78th minute. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Pincha FC's Carlos Quentin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 83rd minute of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Carlos Quentin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 95th minute Marcial Roldanillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Pincha FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
