In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, River CBBA's Laureano Beltza got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. USA were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after River CBBA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cassius Byrne took the corner. In the 26th minute Argoitz Abeijon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, River CBBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matías Almeida to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes in the game Raphael Moore did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Fabian Brown. When Juan Funes came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the River CBBA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Funes couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in River CBBA's zone, Monty Rogers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Barovero came out of the goal and Monty Rogers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 50th minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hector Enrique came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the River CBBA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Enrique couldn't finish the play. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. River CBBA's Varis Birgelis was substituted for Simon Gustafson. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ponciano Abarca in the 70th minute of the match. Koby Fletcher kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 76 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Jenson Smith. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. A collision led to USA getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jenson Smith hit a great ball. Koby Fletcher's late challenge caught a River CBBA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Koby Fletcher helped the player get up and apologised. 79 minutes into the game, one of USA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sergio Batista scored 0-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Day, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Argoitz Abeijon took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Marco Day to make any attempt to save it. Sam Campbell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Barovero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. River CBBA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sergio Batista in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Campbell in the 93rd minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ponciano Abarca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, River CBBA's goal looked a bit too open when Khalid Parry came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Baker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
