Bancruz F.C's Ciro Nerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match, Carlos Arixo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rolando Noboa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Turgay Hafi in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Turgay Hafi in the 20th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciro Nerio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bancruz F.C were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nunez Tano took the corner. The corner led Bancruz F.C's Nunez Tano to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 40th minute, Turgay Hafi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a rather tough play, Peru's Eliseo Mina got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute Turgay Hafi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Bancruz F.C's Turgay Hafi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Turgay Hafi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Turgay Hafi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Bancruz F.C's Ciro Nerio got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Turgay Hafi in the 66th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bancruz F.C's Andro Konsap was substituted for Carlos Borghi. Bancruz F.C's Ciro Nerio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Moises Gayoso, made in the 69th minute of the game. 70 minutes into the match, Bancruz F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ciro Nerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Ciro Nerio made a huge save. 77 minutes into the game, Luca Driver was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bancruz F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. A collision led to Bancruz F.C getting a freekick after 77 minutes play.
