Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. Zé Tola blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. After 6 minutes of play, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Zé Tola made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Rudolf Meulman in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Tola in the 21st minute of play. With a little luck, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Rudolf Meulman got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alonso Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Zé Tola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Arjen Robben made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 35th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolf Meulman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Julian Murillo sped through Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rudolf Meulman. In the 47th minute Zé Tola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 48 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carmelo Gorka who took care of the corner kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Tola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Rigoberto Inguma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Inguma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the match, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Rudolf Meulman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Tola got free with Rolando Noboa in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Zé Tola got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. 84 minutes into the game, Carmelo Gorka threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Antonio Tenorio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rudolf Meulman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Peru were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eliseo Mina took the corner. The throw-in from Carmelo Gorka in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Zé Tola got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
