After 32 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Luca Espinar. 41 minutes into the game, Honduras's Sebastian Villa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Róbson Arósio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 44th minute, Sebastian Villa had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 45 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís Rosado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. Honduras's Alexander Costa was substituted for Sebastian Villa. In the 46th minute, Pedro Luís Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duda Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Corrêa in the 61st minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th match minute, ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gugu de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Edu Saraiva took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Juarês Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Duda Peixoto came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Honduras's Alexander Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Róbson Arósio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Róbson Arósio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 86th minute. Róbson Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 88th minute of the match. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Róbson Arósio having to interfere. ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Honduras had controlled the match.
