Ciro Nerio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Turgay Hafi in the 7th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciro Nerio saved Bancruz F.C from getting behind. Ciro Nerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 29th minute of play. Ciro Nerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Peru were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Bancruz F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. Ciro Nerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 38th minute of play. Turgay Hafi's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Turgay Hafi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bancruz F.C's Turgay Hafi got a free kick in the 39th minute. Clodoveo Matro hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 44th minute. The corner ended in Alonso Berganza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bancruz F.C's Ciro Nerio did a great save. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Turgay Hafi in the 54th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bancruz F.C's Ciro Nerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 56th minute of play. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. In the 67thth minute of the game Turgay Hafi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 69 played minutes Bancruz F.C got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Arixo. Bancruz F.C's Çelikan Koçaş was substituted for Turgay Hafi. Bancruz F.C made a substitution. Alfonso Tauro replaced Clodoveo Matro. After a rather tough play, Bancruz F.C's Carlos Arixo got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ciro Nerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çelikan Koçaş in the 79th minute of play. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Bancruz F.C's Ciro Nerio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Bancruz F.C from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bancruz F.C's goalkeeper Ciro Nerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Çelikan Koçaş left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bancruz F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.
