Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafal Solibieda in the 11th minute of play. Ksawery Pyrtek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by MKS Darlovia Darlowo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Cresencio in the 28th minute. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonardo Cresencio to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Rafal Solibieda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 54th minute of the game.
