Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 played minutes Frontera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Cisco. Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Agustín Rossi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 13thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agustín Rossi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Frontera AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Frontera AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Frontera AFC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Celso Betadur hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Naohiro Takahara. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agustín Rossi saved Frontera AFC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Naohiro Takahara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Naohiro Takahara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Primitivo Andino charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Primitivo Andino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Silvestre Cisco made the kick off in the second half. 1-1 became the score in the 50th minute when Daniel Zorita elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 56th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Agustín Rossi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Frontera AFC made a substitution. Gonzalo Pacifico replaced Celso Betadur. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Frontera AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Agustín Saelices almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi did a great save. In the 61st minute Naohiro Takahara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Naohiro Takahara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naohiro Takahara, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Naohiro Takahara went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Frontera AFC from getting a goal against them. Agustín Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 70th minute. In the 70th minute, Felix Montenegro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Agustín Rossi. The goal made the score 2-2. In the 78th minute, Naohiro Takahara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Frontera AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naohiro Takahara in the 86th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Frontera AFC's corner Silvestre Cisco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st match minute, Frontera AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naohiro Takahara to maneuver through the defense.
