Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Iker Mincho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Haroldo Lorien tried to sneak it across the goal line. Haroldo Lorien struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvarado de Mar del Plata. Iker Mincho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of play. Jakub Brabec kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita took a good shot, in the 44th minute, which hit the crossbar above Iker Mincho's head, and flew over the goal. Alvarado de Mar del Plata's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Ecuador. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Lorien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute Haroldo Lorien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lennie Buckler hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Iker Mincho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Kang Feng in the 62nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Alvarado de Mar del Plata made a substitution. Modesto Isadore replaced Rolando Hodei. Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Mariano Verón was substituted for Enzo Kante. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kang Feng, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute.
