Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Felix Pascua got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Peres in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joel Caton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Peres in the 26th minute of play. In the 34th minute Victor Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Peres in the 36th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Joel Caton in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 38 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Gisbert. In the 39th minute, Felix Pascua made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 42nd minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joel Caton was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 47 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Pascua came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reasco Landeros made a great header on Loja S.C.'s corner, it was just that Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso managed to reach the ball for a save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. Camilo Covarrubias hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Peres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Victor Peres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Victor Peres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. The Loja S.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
