Pau Nas Canelas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Palmiro Picasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 28 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Pau Nas Canelas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Monsanto in the 41st minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Monsanto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Palmiro Picasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 53 minutes, Palmiro Picasso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pau Nas Canelas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Palmiro Picasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Venezuela's Jose Correa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by 董真林, made in the 56th minute of the game. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Pau Nas Canelas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséas Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Palmiro Picasso came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Pau Nas Canelas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Palmiro Picasso couldn't finish the play. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Edinho Moraes came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pau Nas Canelas's Montrel Blazquez got a free kick in the 68th minute. A throw-in in the 70th minute of the game was made by 董真林 with Palmiro Picasso as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 74 minutes Pau Nas Canelas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Gentil Miranda despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, Pau Nas Canelas's Palmiro Picasso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pau Nas Canelas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Monsanto in the 79th minute. In the 79th match minute, Pau Nas Canelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Vilas Boas to maneuver through the defense. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th match minute, Pau Nas Canelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Avelino Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pau Nas Canelas.
