The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Martinez got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abram Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kevin Mastache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hồ Kyhn, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Kiko De la Cuadra made in the 21st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Pablo Martinez immediately put the ball in play. A collision led to Salmuera CP getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ali Gopala Pillai hit a great ball. Abram Sarmiento took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruperto Maria. Ruperto Maria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Axel Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruperto Maria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After 33 played minutes Salmuera CP got a freekick which was hit by Kiko De la Cuadra. After 35th play minutes Axel Montenegro shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Ruperto Maria and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 37th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santino Seco to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Colombia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Salmuera CP:s goal. Colombia:s Pedro Manzanares showed great skill when he stopped Torcuato Herrero:s penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Pablo Martinez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salmuera CP's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Martinez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pablo Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. 52 minutes into the game, Salmuera CP's Pablo Martinez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After 56 minutes, Costin Duca made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Abram Sarmiento hit a great ball. Costin Duca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Orlando Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torcuato Herrero in the 69th minute of the match. Costin Duca hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Pablo Martinez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salmuera CP's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Martinez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Martinez in the 75th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salmuera CP made a substitution. Emiliano Frichoso replaced Ali Gopala Pillai. 81 minutes into the match, Costin Duca notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute, Pablo Martinez made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costin Duca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the game, Costin Duca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 90th minute Pablo Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Pablo Martinez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Salmuera CP fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
