Zheng Zhen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 19th minute of the match. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leeton United FC's goalkeeper Zheng Zhen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 唐奕笑's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zheng Zhen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Emanuel Hârșu sent off a good shot on target. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Zheng Zhen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 胡森平 hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 唐奕笑 to make the kick off. Zheng Zhen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Leeton United FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Zheng Zhen in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho got in the 77th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Zheng Zhen handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Primitivo Andino's late challenge caught a Leeton United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Primitivo Andino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After taking down the ball on Leeton United FC's corner Gaitan Melic fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute of play forced Leeton United FC's goalkeeper Zheng Zhen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Hârșu in the 88th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when 唐奕笑 came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Emanuel Hârșu made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Leeton United FC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
