Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Nejat Özsungur in the 30th minute of play. The team pollen fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when team pollen's Ali Nejat Özsungur looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cheng Qiang made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Anselmo Jaen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Anselmo Jaen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. team pollen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Cheng Qiang, making the score, 2-1.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, team pollen's Fredrik Aalvik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Jaen in the 79th minute of the match. After 80 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rafa Figueiredo who took care of the corner kick. The corner led team pollen's Ali Nejat Özsungur to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, team pollen's İlyas Orgun got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when team pollen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nacho Zafirov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Dennis Stokkeland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cheng Qiang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
